Avatar: The Last Airbender is available exclusively on Netflix for all subscribers and membership tiers. The first season is also streaming on the service, should you need a refresher or want to catch up.
Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 episode count and is it the final season?
Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 is slightly shorter than its predecessor, clocking in at only seven episodes.
Why? According to executive producer Christine Boylan, one fully completed script ended up being cut because of Netflix.
“Netflix gives very little real estate when it comes to episodes,” Boylan revealed to SFX.
The streamer has greenlit Avatar for a third and final season, however. That should take the live-action show up to a complete adaptation of all three of the Nickelodeon series' 'Books'.
