"The Bat is dead" in tense new clip from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Late last week we were treated to a new Batman v Superman TV spot (opens in new tab) that showed the Batmobile coming off a little worse for wear after colliding with the Man of Steel. Thanks to a new clip debuted by director Zack Snyder on Conan (opens in new tab) last night, we now know what happens in the immediate aftermath. Check it out below...

This was a very smart clip to unveil; the focus is back where it should have been all along - on the conflict between Batman and Superman - and having seen parts of this scene before in trailers, the new footage adds context instead of revealing something completely unseen. You're learning, Warner Bros. marketing!

The scene itself is an extended version of the "Do you bleed?" encounter, which features Kal-El giving the Dark Knight a stern warning to cease and desist any and all vigilante activity. Something tells us Batman won't be so easily shut down...

Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Diane Lane, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Laurence Fishburne and Amy Adams, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will arrive in UK and US cinemas on March 25, 2016.
