Spider-Man: Homecoming's Tom Holland breaks out the mo-cap and dance moves in new set video

The various set videos we've seen from Spider-Man: Homecoming have shown that the filmmakers and their stars like to have a little fun on set, and that includes engaging in some friendly competition with other upcoming Marvel productions

The Russo Brothers threw down the (infinity) gauntlet last week with an image of Josh Brolin's Thanos in rehearsal, but Homecoming director Jon Watts has upped the ante with a fun clip of Tom Holland breakdancing to Daft Punk's 'Doin' it Right' in his motion-capture suit. It's even been captioned with "Yeah, but can Thanos do THIS?" for good measure.

Check it out below...

As anyone who watched Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 can attest, a dancing Spidey is not a new phenomenon. However, Holland's gag reel worthy shenanigans are much more fun than Tobey Maguire's multiple cringe-inducing dance sequences, which somehow remained in the final movie.

This is not to say that there won't be any dancing at all in Spidey's upcoming solo film, but I'm betting it'll be between Peter Parker and a significant other at a certain High School Homecoming as opposed to the webhead getting funky while in costume. Best to leave that to this guy...

Directed by Jon Watts and starring Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, Robert Downey Jr, Donald Glover, Bokeem Woodbine, and Zendaya, Spider-Man: Homecoming will swing into cinemas on July 7, 2017.
