Sandra Bullock heading up all-female Ocean's 11 reboot

The Ocean’s Eleven franchise may have only come to a close with Ocean’s Thirteen back in 2007, but a reboot is already in the works, with The Playlist reporting that the new version will be an all-female affair headed up by Sandra Bullock. The project even has a director in the bag, with Hunger Games helmer Gary Ross set to step behind the camera.

The project has apparently been in the pipeline since the back end of last year, with the late Jerry Weintraub cooking up the premise with Steven Soderbergh and George Clooney. Clooney and Bullock have apparently become close after co-starring in Gravity together, while Olivia Milch has quietly been working on a script for the last few months.

It’s a little hazy as to whether the film will be a total reboot or will be linked into the original films in some way, although a potential Clooney cameo as Danny Ocean has apparently been mooted. The project is expected to be Ross’s next directorial gig once he’s done with current film The Free State Of Jones, with more concrete details likely to emerge in due course.
