Today's best Lego deals ahead of Prime Day
Lego Star Wars Millennium Falcon | $84.99 $67.98 at Amazon
Save $17 - We've literally never seen this kit (which is one of our favorites) for less than this, and it normally doesn't go far below $74. A great example of why it's worth keeping an eye out ahead of Prime Day Lego deals.
Buy it if:
✅ You love this hunk of junk
✅ You don't have room for the other versions
Don't buy it if:
❌ You want the bigger ones instead
Price check:
💲 Walmart | $67.98
UK price:
⭐ £74.99 £51.99 at Amazon
Lego Harry Potter Talking Sorting Hat | $99.99 $79.95 at Amazon
Save $20 - Considering how it's a single dollar away from a record low price, I wouldn't be surprised if this kit (which is one of my favorites in the Harry Potter range) dips even further when this year's Prime Day Lego deals roll around.
Buy it if:
✅ You want a conversation starter
✅ You don't have room for Hogwarts
Don't buy it if:
❌ You'd rather get Hogwarts
Price check:
💲 Walmart | $79.95
UK price:
⭐ £89.99 £69.99 at Amazon
Lego Star Wars Dark Falcon | $179.99 $145 at Amazon
Save $35 - Well lookee here, two lowest-ever prices for Millennium Falcon Lego sets? Phew. The normal cost for this model is usually between $150 and $166, so it's an absolute humdinger ahead of Prime Day 2025.
Buy it if:
✅ You want a playset for your kids
✅ You liked Rebuild the Galaxy
Don't buy it if:
❌ You'd rather have a classic Falcon
Price check:
💲 Walmart | $145
UK price:
⭐ £159.99 £114.99 at Amazon
Lego Star Wars R2-D2 (75379) | $99.99 $79.95 at Amazon
Save $20 - EAlthough we have seen it a tiny bit cheaper before (as of last week, in fact), this is a great example of why you should strike when the going's good during Prime Day; things move very quickly, and costs could suddenly go up for no reason even during the event.
Buy it if:
✅ R2 was always your favorite
✅ You'll get C-3PO as well
Don't buy it if:
❌ You have the older version
Price check:
💲 Walmart | $79.95
UK price:
⭐ £89.99 £66.99 at Amazon
Prime Day Lego deals: FAQ
When will Prime Day Lego deals 2025 begin?
We now know exactly when this year's Prime Day Lego deals will be taking place, and it's soon; the event will officially happen between July 8-11, 2025.
If you've been following along with us for a while, this probably won't come as a surprise. Prime Day normally falls in early to mid-July each year, so this tracks with prior sales. However, one thing that has changed is the length. Yep, Prime Day has now been stretched over four days rather than the usual two.
Getting a sense of déjà vu? That's because we've already had a round of Prime Day Lego deals a few months ago, back in October. This follows the recent trend of Amazon enjoying two rounds of Prime Day celebrations each year, giving Prime members yet another opportunity to nab savings.
Do I need a Prime membership for the Prime Day Lego deals?
Unfortunately, you will need a Prime membership to access the best Prime Day Lego deals. This is bad news for those not already subscribed but it does provide a pretty good excuse to give Prime a try if that's something you've had your eye on.
What's more, you can get a 30-day trial of Prime that is totally free provided you cancel before the next billing period. This should give you plenty of time to take advantage of all the best Prime Day Lego deals.
If you really don't fancy signing up for Prime, don't worry — your life won't be totally devoid of discounts. While they aren't technically Prime Day Lego deals, there some other sales that take place both on Amazon itself and other online stores around the same time. We make sure to keep an eye out for those too.
Amazon Prime | 30-day free trial
Most of the best offers are exclusively available to Prime members. So, if you want to take advantage of them, you'll need to make sure you're subscribed.
Fortunately, there's a free trial that'll cover you far beyond the duration of Prime Day. Just remember to cancel your plan before the rolling monthly $12.99 / £7.99 fee kicks in if you don't plan on sticking around.
Should you wait for Black Friday?
Should you take advantage of this year's Prime Day Lego deals, or should you wait until the bigger sales event in November when Black Friday Lego deals kick off? Honestly, the answer lies in which Lego sets you have your heart set on. Some (like the Millennium Falcon, or those advent calendars) tend to get their biggest reductions during Black Friday. But not all sets follow this same rule.
For guidance on any deal, I'd recommend keeping a keen eye on price tracking sites like CamelCamelCamel. If a set not had a real discount for ages and has tumbled massively for the Prime Day Lego deals, you should definitely snatch it up. On the other hand, if trends suggest the price is set to drop further in November and December, I'd say to hold your fire.
Prime Day Lego deals: What to expect
Even though the best offers tend to be reserved for Amazon technology or other hardware (such as Prime Day laptop deals), that isn't to say savings on Lego aren't out there waiting for you. In fact, you can get whopping discounts on sets if you go looking. Indeed, it's not uncommon to see lowest-ever prices during the sale.
To make sure you're making the most of Prime Day, here's some advice based on our years of covering the sales event.
💲 Cheaper sets will get most discounts
Based on Primes of years past, anything older than a few months is game to receive a price cut. Mid-range and cheap sets are probably going to get the lion's share of savings, because they usually do. During last year's July Prime Day, most of the discounted kits were $50 / £50 or less.
💰 Offers on premium sets are more rare
Even though less expensive kits steal the limelight during Prime, that isn't to say big ticket items won't get any love. For sure, very popular sets like Rivendell or the Ultimate Collector Series tend to be held back for flash sales in November. However, I have seen a couple of premium kits get impressive price cuts as part of the annual Prime Day Lego deals. For example, the Rise of Skywalker Millennium Falcon tumbled to a record low price of $127.99 in prior years.
🎬 Sets for popular franchises get the best savings
I expect the most tempting Lego offers to be on major franchises such as Star Wars and Harry Potter this year. Even though all things Lego get their prices slashed during the event, the wizarding world, Marvel, Super Mario, Minecraft, and the rest rule the roost in my experience. Mosey on over to Amazon's sales page this October and you'll find them dominating the list.
❌ A lot of third-party knock-offs will appear
Unfortunately, you can guarantee that plenty of copycats will fill the digital sales racks. Be sure to check whether the item you're looking at is genuine Lego. You'll probably need to scroll past a lot of tat to find the good stuff, too.
