Exclusive! First Dream Trigger 3D screens

Back in December, D3Publisher announced the development of Dream Trigger 3D for the Nintendo 3DS, calling it "the first of many" 3DS titles that the company plans to deliver. The arcade shooter is being crafted by Japanese developer Art Co., Ltd, a company which, unfortunately, is largely credited with work on ignorable ports and licensed games, such as the DS version of Astro Boy: The Video Game ("totally broken").

Perhaps the dev is ready to break out of so-so land? Dream Trigger 3D is set to feature over 50 levels of over-caffeinated color, radiating patterns, and "explosive arcade shooter action." Based on the first screens, it can safely be called 'explosive,' but we'll have to see it in full 3D motion before we can determine exactly what is exploding:

Just do your best to imagine the whole 3D thing (try crossing your eyes?). Anyway, check out the next issue of Nintendo Power, which will hit subscribers next week, for the first preview of the game.
