Take a closer look at Batman v Superman's Flash and Cyborg costumes

The costumes for some of the heroes in DC's Extended Universe have been largely excellent; Ben Affleck's Batsuit is pretty much perfect, and the same could be said for Superman and Wonder Woman's get-ups (although, yes, a little more colour couldn't hurt).

We got our first, brief taste of the costumes for the other Justice League members in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice earlier this year, and thanks to Hollywood costume design specialists Ironhead Studios we now have a more detailed look at the Flash's armoured duds and Cyborg's prototype suit from the movie.

The amount of work that goes into translating superhero costumes from page to screen is always impressive - indeed, companies like Ironhead Studios often go through plenty of iterations before they find one which works - and that shows in the level of detail in these maquettes.

I wasn't 100% sold on the costumes for the Flash and Cyborg in Batman v Superman, but I started to warm to them a little more once I saw their slightly upgraded get-ups in the first Justice League trailer. Both the Flash and Cyborg's suits will require more CGI work than most, so it will be interesting to see what they look like in motion in the final movie.

Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Mamoa, J.K. Simmons, Amber Heard, Ezra Miller, and Ray Fisher, Justice League is currently scheduled for a November 17, 2017 release.
