Has everyone else been complaining about this last Triforce shard quest in the Wind Waker? Has that really been a thing this entire time? Wow. The shit gamers complain about man. I hardly even remember that. In fact, I think I more or less remember it as an opportunity to just sail around the ocean gathering treasure and sea charts, which was loads of fun. It's as if Wind Waker elegantly toed the line between giving the player a task and giving them freedom to ignore it if they wanted to. That made for a really stellar game experience where sometimes I would load it up and just faff about sailing from one island to the next, or would go for the main quests. It was very smart of them to divide up the world into discrete chunks... sure, you could argue that that was merely to mask loading times and stuff like that, but it really contributed to giving you a more relaxing open world/ exploratory experience, one that's less characterized by distracting the player with options or things to do so much as allowing the player choice in the matter.

I like the pictobox idea. I don't think we're going to get a fully fleshed out Master Quest. The point of this game is to get it out quick and appease Zelda fans. The triforce fetch quest MUST be fixed. It'd be a dream to get the other temples in this game. That'll depend on how far along they were in the first place. As for the eeeeeeeeeeendless sailing, since it was largely empty ocean, why not just cut out some of it? Make the ocean itself smaller. You could reduce the area by half without impacting on the island positions or wider gameplay etc.

I would have preferred a Majora's Mask remake instead of this game in the series, but I am willing to give it another try. Not a fan of the sailing, of that Triforce garbage shit and of how blatantly easy the game was- I don't recall dying at all when I played it, but then again, I played it years ago so I could be wrong. So sayeth Reborn Kew-saw-bee

Late in the game? The deluxe pictobox is available immedietly available after the forbidden forest, that isn't late its pretty early. What I wouldn't mind replacing the triforce charts with the triforce shards, or making new mini dungeons for the shards, to keep the charts in game. Adding motion control for the Deku leaf and anything else almost seems like adding it for the sake of adding it, which is when you should NOT do something.

Furthermore, why WW? I love the game but its graphics have held up the best out of any post 16 bit game, why not Majora's Mask? That game needs more love.

Find some way to make it playable with the GameCube pad. Honestly speaking one of the many reasons I consider Wind Waker to be the best Zelda is that it's has the best control system...

I want to see the wand controlled by the touch screen as an option.

    The Master Fetch Quest!

Although fishing out a few Triumph Forks didn't bother me, I wouldn't care if some were cut. That said, I enjoyed finding the charts as they gave more incentive to search for hidden areas on the islands. Didn't care for paying so much for them to be translated though. I think the biggest change to be made is to make the Ballad of Gales available earlier (after Dragon Roost perhaps?) and when you get get it, have it update to allow you to fast travel to more islands. Or at least change a few. I got tired of having to sail to Tingle from Windfall every time. That's all I ask.
  • Person5 - January 25, 2013 9:04 a.m.

I believe you could use the Ballad of Gales to go to Tingle Island, though adding a few more warp points wouldn't be a bad idea.

I remember hearing something about how the original developers of Wind Waker were struck with deadlines and it prevented them from finishing certain concepts in the game that were ultimately left on the drawing board. For instance, there were two islands, a fire, and an ice island next to one another, and those were initially designed to be a pair of full-fledged dungeons, but they were unfortunately reduced to a mere destination to obtain two much-needed items. The intent was there, and the items were naturally vital to survive those islands, and there was a lot of uniqueness there, but it wasn't brought to its full potential. My demand from this is that they complete the original idea for those locations, instead of the deduced result left a decade ago.

This would be a perfect opportunity for Nintendo to end their abysmal ethic diversity record and finally include a black link. Windwaker would be a great game for a black Link, I hope there's a petition.. if not I might start one.
  • Person5 - January 25, 2013 9:08 a.m.

Not that I have anything against ethnic diversity, that seems like a pointless change. Link is essentially the same person in each game, and you can't change him really. Remember the rage when Twilight princess made Link right handed? yeah, now imagine changing his race. Not only that but it just doesn't seem like Hylinians are black, it just doesn't appear to be, maybe in the Legend of Zelda world there's an Africa, but I don't think its anywhere near Hyrule.
  • SirNinja - January 23, 2013 6:27 p.m.

Most of these are probably going to make it in, but I'll be happy as long as they fix the Triforce shard collection quest. Talk about hitting the brakes on the home stretch... The game looks gorgeous from what I've seen. Maybe a little too much bloom lighting, but no complaints otherwise.
  • C.King - January 23, 2013 6:09 p.m.

the hd lighting effect makes me feel trippy, it's like they're physically there but ... well you know....
  • DangerZone723 - January 23, 2013 5:47 p.m.

All these are actually reasonable and easily implementable additions. So, naturally we won't see any of them.
  • JMarsella09 - January 23, 2013 5:04 p.m.

You know, I still have not finished this game. To the Gamecube, away!
  • Jonamon23 - January 23, 2013 5 p.m.

Didn't the Japanese Version of Wind Waker have even more Treasure maps? The North American Version had some of them cut. I don't remember any part of the game being so tedious to the point of cutting it.
  • shawksta - January 23, 2013 4:54 p.m.

Great choices, especially the Tingle Tuner and miiverse I personally like the look, sure its not as cell shaded as back in the past (Despite being a Gamecube game), but its still vibrant and colorful in its own unique way.
  • RonnyLive19881 - January 23, 2013 4:30 p.m.

I really hope yall weren't referring to the Ocarina of Time 3D and Star Fox 64 remakes when you mentioned "Shoddy remakes"...
