We play Game Party: In Motion with Kinect, look dumb [VIDEO]

While Chris Antista was having a grand old time playing Dance Central, I was at WB's booth playing Game Party: In Motion, the latest in a long line of generic name contest winners. Okay, so I didn't exactly walk into the demo expecting to like the games, but it was my first experience with Kinect! So did it work?

Nope. My motions were so delayed, I had no clue what was going on. My experience conflicts with other reports of the system working perfectly, so perhaps the poor environment was a factor, but no matter how hard the very nice people at WB tried, I just couldn't Kinect (hurr hurr hurr). Watch the dumbening:

I see that all the bullshit and terrible games had such a presense that you were incredibly sweaty before you even played (or it could be for a more logical reason, but I like to think not). Here we go again with all the bullshit.

Great vid, i have no doubt that the kinect series will fail miserably, but the other games that aren't kinect sports or kinectimals... perhaps those games will do well.

Great video Tyler. It looks like you went into playing this pretty open to whatever it was supposed to be but it is plainly obvious (especially doing the Rootbeer Tapper game) that the game (or Kinect itself) just simply does not work. The problem with Kinect is that it is going to either be 1:1 motion and work or it will not work at all. This game is clearly the later. You moved right and the character on screen did not move right. The game simply doesn't work then. On top of that, the game looks horrible and boring. I don't care if the lights aren't correct or if calibration was off or whatever...Kinect either obviously works or it obviously doesn't and no amount of creating the perfect space with the perfect lighting to play the game will fix that. @VirAetas Your completely right about him saying that it will ship with 10 games and then later he says that it will ship with 16! Also, are these the best games out of the 10 or 16 that are going to come with it? Fail.

That looked like the least fun thing of all time. sliding side to side and pushing root beer to thirsty patrons? What the hell is that?!?

Ouch there Mr. Wilde. That hurt. Though did I notice that the number of games increased throughout the video? "We're here to demo 3 though the shipped game will have over 10" then after you proceeded to "play" the game he then said "the finished product will ship with over 16"? Wow, that game multiplies like terribly contrived bunnies. recapthca: important frisk (I may try that at a bar. Excuse me ma'am, this is very important. I must frisk you. Importantly.)

    Who invited all the pants?
