New Wipeout is imminent. A job advert says so

Like Wipeout? Like Wipeout in HD on the PS3 even more because of the extra pixels? Want more of it? You might well be in luck. Sony's premiere manufacturer of super-fast futuristic hovercraft, Studio Liverpool, is hiring. And the job description as good as confirms an answer to your prayers.

The ad says that Studio Liverpool is looking for "an experienced and upbeat Senior Designer to work with a talented and experienced team on a high profile, futuristic racing franchise". What could that mean!? The job specification goes on to detail the design of game features, tracks and community features. So, conclusions?

Studio Liverpool is working on either another huge update to Wipeout HD a la the Fury DLC, or a whole new Wipeout game. And given the mention of track design (Wipeout HD has so far made use only of reworked tracks from the PSP games), I'm currently swinging towards the latter. PS3? Very probably, though we could of course be looking at a PSP2 launch title, given the talk of dev kits for Sony's next hand-held running rampant in the wild. Either way though, if the studio is still on the look-out for designers, the mystery Wipeout game is probably a way off.

So, what do you hope this yet-to-be-employed designer is going to be working on?

@sean161 YES! The male announcer was way better. And actually, I've been dreaming about being a concept artist for Studio Liverpool for a while now too lol After seeing this ad, I've decided to go for it. Let's see what happens :P

Always dreamed of working on a wipeout game since i was about 14/15 when i first ever played wipeout 2097 demo on ps1. I played that demo millions of times and actually think its the best demo ever, and played that more than the game, i dont know why! I live north of Liverpool, but will NEVER get a cahnce to express my ideas accross on this game as i do not meet the entry requirements for the job! Its bad, because i have tons of ideas for a 'Wip3out' Game! If anyone is listening bring back the 'male computer announcer' rather than female voices, it sounds so much more aggresive! Anyone who played the PS1 Wip3out 2097 demo 'Demo 1' its called play it and you will know what i mean. My email is srpjlyons@yahoo.co.uk if anyone wants to spwak to a massive Wip3out fan! :) Sean

OR Rollcage :P I would like more DLC, however, I would also love a follow up on a full bluray disc to see what insanities that Studio Liverpool could be capable of.
