Hitman: Absolution and Runner 2 free on PS Plus in August

Agent 47's services don't come cheap... unless you subscribe to PlayStation Plus. The PlayStation Blog today announced Hitman: Absolution and Bit.Trip Runner 2 will headline August's free games for the subscription service.

Absolution's new take on the classic stealth franchise normally costs $20 on PSN, and the Future Legend of Rhythm Alien otherwise goes for $15. But that's not all: Zen Pinball 2: Star Wars Pinball for PS3 and PS Vita, Darkstalkers Chronicle for PSP and PS Vita, and Machinarium for PS Vita will also be downloadable free of charge.

Rayman Origins for PS3 will drop from $20 to $5 and from $27 to $6.75 on PS Vita for PS Plus subscribers, among other franchise deals for the armless platform hero.

Also keep in mind that Battlefield 3 will disembark from the free game train tomorrow, so get downloading if you've been putting it off.

Now this is what i call a deal. Microsoft needs to learn that Assassins' Creed two and Crackdown 1 (two 4 year old games) aren't deals

well, there have been plenty of old games on PS+, but lately they've been giving out some pretty good and relatively recent stuff.
