The Clash of Ninja series has clambered its way over the competition - kicking it in the face a little to make sure it stays down - to become the preeminent series of games based on the massively popular Naruto anime series. But Japan's way, way ahead of us in the storyline of the cartoon, so we can't get the latest game in the series. The solution? Clash of Ninja Revolution is an original game created in Japan, for US fans, based on the technology that drives the latest game released for the Wii over there.
Confused? Don't be. You can think of this game as Clash of Ninja 3, more or less, picking up right where the GameCube games left off. In the demo we experienced, the only playable characters were Sakura, Sasuke, Naruto and Gaara, though Tomy has promised at least 15 will make the final cut - and if there's time, before the game's release, even more will be added. Six stages are also planned - each with two zones, full of boxes and other destructible cover to protect you from your opponents' attacks.
