Fancy finding out what happens when a videogame shooter takes Marines... into space?? If you can wait until September, you'll have your answer (spoiler: it involves baldness and teeth-gritting) courtesy of Relic's Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. The title – which, well-covered tropes aside, offers a focus on one of the more storied examples of gaming's favorite future-man-with-a-gun – has been confirmed for a September 6 release via this new story trailer.
Space Marine is Relic Entertainment's first crack at extending the Warhammer 40k series out of its traditional role-play strategy mold and into the action-shooter genre, which (some have theorized) may be a good place for Space Marines. We gave the company's previous foray into third-person action, The Outfit,an 8. From the looks of this trailer, which sets the stakes for the game's story mode without actually going into much gameplay detail, are you excited to get better acquainted with the title come September?
