Game Of Thrones fans have been a little spoiled today when the show dropped a gallery of new images (opens in new tab) from season 6. Now there's a couple of extra goodies to make your Friday - we've got word on when the first proper season 6 trailer is due to land and a sneak peek at that upcoming footage.
The news hails from the show's official Twitter, where it was announced that the teaser is scheduled to air on HBO this Sunday just before Vinyl. Citing its start time as 8.59pm it seems as if it'll be a brief teaser - as the show it precedes begins at 9pm - but it's likely there'll be more footage than the attached clip. Prepare yourself, it's another of those "teaser for the teaser" previews:
Send a raven. The #GoTSeason6 tease will air this Sunday at 8:59PM ET before @VinylHBO(WARNING: You will be teased)https://t.co/93Pl8aCEieFebruary 12, 2016
Other than an extended shot of the House of Black and White, it's that warning that carries the real sense of foreboding. For what? Well, probably the status of Jon Snow who was last seen lying in a pool of his own blood. HBO has a notorious track record when it comes to trolling fans (opens in new tab) over his resurrection, and the way these promos are headed the matter probably won't be settled until the season begins.
Game of Thrones season 6 premieres on HBO on April 24, 2016 in the US, and on Sky Atlantic a day later in the UK.
