Once you've made it to Savali and have met Gary, you'll have a barren wasteland in front of you to zoom around on your new-found hoverboots. To begin your hunt for Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart lorbs, head to the small outpost near the middle of the map and speak to the Monk Scholar. He'll tell you about how lorbs can be collected from Lombax Shrines around Savali and requests that you bring him three lorbs.

These Lombax Shrines and their lorbs aren't too hard to find – in fact, there's one right next to the monk. As long as you're clearing unexplored parts of the map, you'll find two more to get your first three in no time at all. When you return to the Monk Scholar, he'll give you the Wasteland leg armor for your efforts. He'll also mark the locations of the remaining nine lorbs on your map, making your search significantly easier.

Get four more lorbs and take them back to the monk to get the Wasteland chest armor, then get the final five lorbs for the Wasteland helmet. This'll complete your collection of 12 lorbs and the Wasteland armor set, which reduces the damage taken from indigenous creatures.

Each lorb you collect also unlocks an associated audio log entry from a "Mystery Voice", detailing the process of mapping out all the dimensions with the Dimensionator. There's also a neat reference to another Sony franchise with two protagonists in Lorb VII, so keep an ear out for that.
