Prototype 2 pre-order bonus from GameStop kicks ass (literally)

Radical Entertainment has announced a new move for Prototype 2, but it's only for ass-kicking early birds who—quite literally—want to kick a little ass in the upcoming sequel. Introducing the Bio-Bomb Butt Kicker, Sgt. James Heller's new pelvic-shattering ability—and yours free with every Prototype 2 pre-order from now until April 23 at GameStop.

The move is described by Activision as an alternate version of protagonist Sgt. James Heller's Bio-Bomb ability which, in its slightly less embarrassing form, allows players to infect enemies, toss them away, and watch from a safe distance as the victims sprout tentacles and gobble up everything within radius.

“Butt Kicker is a fun twist on Heller’s already over-the-top new Bio-Bomb ability,” explained Radical Entertainment head Ken Rosman. “Rather than just throwing enemies once Heller has infected them with the Blacklight virus; Butt Kicker allows Heller to drop-kick punt them across the map, turning enemies into projectiles that rain down devastation from above.”

Sure it's no nut-punch, but swap out the jacket for a purple hoodie and this could have easily been a scene from Steelport. Not that we're complaining; Sgt. Heller looks like he needs a little more fun.

Prototype 2 ass-kicks its way onto PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on April 24 in North America, and April 27 in the UK.
