Phantom Dust Xbox One reboot changes developers

Dust in the wind
We haven't heard much of anything about the new Phantom Dust since it was announced at E3 2014, but all apparently isn't well in the elemental post-apocalypse. Microsoft says the original developer, Darkside Game Studios, is no longer working on the project. And Darkside itself is shutting down, according to a report from Kotaku.
That doesn't mean the action/strategy series will return to the shadows, where it dwelled since its 2004/2005 debut. Microsoft says development "continues", although it's not clear where it's happening now that Darkside is off the project. You should expect some delays as whatever new team Microsoft brings in either gets up to speed with the existing work or starts all over again. Though, to be fair, we never had a release date in the first place. Until we find out more, you can at least click on for some more impressions from the initial reveal trailer.
