New Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. teaser mentions Inhumans

Marvel has dropped a new teaser for Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. in which the term “inhuman” is specifically used to refer to a super-powered individual.

The show recently made the big reveal that Chloe Bennett’s character Skye is one such individual, and since Marvel no longer holds the rights to the term “mutant”, it seems that “Inhuman” is the way they’ll be going when introducing more "extraordinary" characters.

An ancient race bestowed with super-powers by aliens, the Inhumans will be getting their own film further down the track, with Marvel seemingly using Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. as a way on introducing them into the MCU.

Take a look at the new teaser, below (US viewers only, unfortunately)…

Whether or not Skye will end up making the jump to the silver screen remains to be seen, but it is expected that the Inhumans film will be directly adapted from the comic-book of the same name.

Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. will resume in the US on 3 March 2015, with a UK air date expected later in the month. Meanwhile, Inhumans is set to open on 2 November 2018.
