Bethesda dropped an atom bomb baby, lil' atom bomb with its first-ever E3 stage show last year, and now it's trying to do it again. The 2016 Bethesda E3 Showcase will begin at 7 pm PT / 3 am UK time on June 12 / 13, according to the company's official twitter account. Put it in your day planner next to EA Play.
Bethesda's E3 2015 press conference revealed that Fallout 4 would come out just months after its surprise reveal, that Dishonored 2 was on the way, and that Doom was being reborn as an arcade shooter. Despite a very positive reception, Bethesda downplayed the chances of its stage show becoming an annual occurrence. After all, it publishes relatively few games next to EA, Activision, and Ubisoft - it's not going to have another Fallout 4 to show off every year.

But clearly Bethesda has enough exciting stuff on the docket to hazard a sophomore attempt. The image in the tweet shows characters from Doom, Dishonored, Wolfenstein: The New Order, The Evil Within, Fallout, and Skyrim, which may give you some indication of what's in store. That said, I wouldn't get my hopes up for the obvious big reveal - another Elder Scrolls game - since the Bethesda Game Studios team just finished up Fallout 4 late last year. Speaking of which, we'll likely see some Fallout 4 DLC at the stage show, though for Season Pass owners' sake I hope at least some of it rolls out before then.
As long as I'm speculating, The Evil Within was released back in October 2014, so Tango Gameworks may be ready to show off whatever it's been working on since then. And it may just be wishful thinking at this point, but I'm also hoping we finally see Prey 2. Dishonored developer Arkane Studios reportedly picked up work on the ambitious shooter back in 2013. Dishonored 2 is still planned for release in spring, so Arkane would have a hell of a year if it followed up with the grand re-entrance of Prey 2 in June.
