Amazon Prime Day tablet deals may have officially come to an end at midnight, but even some of the retailer's own Fire devices are still at record-low prices today. Sure, both the HD 8 and Fire Max 11 have jumped back up to full price, but you can still score a hefty discount on the HD 10 model.

Not only that, but plenty of Samsung and Google devices are also still sitting at their Prime Day prices this morning, surviving the end of the sale with discounts still intact.

With Black Friday discounts on their way, I'm expecting to see far more tablet deals landing on the shelves in the next few weeks, but bigger models like the iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 are unlikely to drop further away from these record-lows. If you're looking to get ahead of this year's holiday sales, there's still a little time to jump in early.

Save $150 - Google's Pixel Tablet has returned to the record-low price we saw the device hit back in August. It may be a couple of years old now, but given that the Android-powered tablet also doubles as a nifty smart display when not in active use, it's still fulfills a useful niche.

Buy it if:

You want a tablet that doubles as a smart display
You prefer Android devices

What to expect from October Prime Day tablet deals 2025

Amazon tends to focus on its own tablets during its Prime Day messaging, but there are plenty more brands taking their own discounts in this space.

Apple, Samsung, Lenovo, and Amazon Fire are the biggest players in this space, but there are a few new entries that are worth keeping an eye on as well. If you're going mainstream, the iPad A16, Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, and Amazon Fire HD 10 are going to offer the best bang-for-buck value.

Apple's latest iPad dropped to $279.99 in previous Prime Day tablet deals over the summer, and has been pretty rigid in its $299 sales price since then. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a return to that record-low come Fall's sale.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite has been a firm Android favorite for value, but its $549.99 MSRP was a little steep last year. That's where we saw it hold over Prime Day in the summer, but a heavy price drop in August means we've been at under $300 for some time now. The record is $255, and $299.99 is the device's day-to-day rate now - I expect we'll see a rate ranging from $249 to $269.

At the cheapest end of the spectrum, the Amazon Fire HD 10 hasn't beaten the record-low it set in last year's Prime Big Deal Days event. Not even summer's Prime Day beat that $74.99 position. We're not far off when the HD 10 does go on sale these days - it normally hits at $89.99. With the time of year, I'd expect us to do better this October, dropping back to that $74.99 record.

If you're after something a little more premium, the iPad Air and Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 will be the heavy hitters in this round of Prime Day tablet deals, but I wouldn't sleep on the RedMagic Astra and Asus ROG Flow Z13.

The 11-inch iPad Air has already beaten the summer's Prime Day price, dropping to $449 fairly regularly over the last few months. We were only at $479.99 in the summer but I don't see further savings in October. This is going to be a $450 device still.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 starts life in the premium seats, with a $799.99 MSRP on its 128GB model. This is a new release, so it's understandable to be skeptical. I would be as well, if I hadn't spotted the 512GB version already dropping its price. The $979.99 model with more memory has dropped as low as $859.99 in September - which could bode well for cheaper configurations by the time Big Deal Days rolls around.

Let's talk gaming for a moment. The Asus ROG Flow Z13 and RedMagic Astra are the best tablets for gamers right now, and they're primed for some discounts this October.

The former is a premium release, but it sports a full Windows experience that essentially leaves your mobile library limitless. Why am I so hopeful? The luxury $2,499.99 starting price has just started to wobble. It's dipped down as low as $2,169.99 in September this year, and the trajectory is favorable. I'd expect this one to be back on sale for October's Prime Day, possibly getting closer to that $2,000 threshold.

The RedMagic Astra scales things down a little, but that's its strength. This compact gaming tablet has a gorgeous display and some serious Android power. Its presence at Amazon is a little spotty, and I've never seen that $799.99 MSRP drop - but if it does you'll want to know about it.

FAQ

When will October Prime Day tablet deals end?

Amazon's Prime Day tablet deals launched on October 7 and are set to run through until midnight tonight (October 9) at your local time. The end of Prime Day doesn't equal the end of discounts though – Best Buy and Newegg have competing sales running until October 12, and then deals season kicks off in earnest ahead of Black Friday.

Do you need a Prime membership for Prime Day tablet deals?

Yes, you'll need a Prime subscription to access Prime Day deals and Prime Big Deals Days offers, but you won't necessarily have to pay extra. If you've never tried the service, you'll be able to snag a 30-day free trial that you can cancel once the event is over. Of course, holding on to it will grant you next-day delivery and access to various other perks, so you may end up wanting to keep it active.
