Snagging a Resident Evil 8 pre-order is the best way to ensure you're as ready as can be for Resident Evil 8's release. And going by the internet's reaction and excitement to Lady Dimitrescu, it sounds like an awful lot of people want to let her get her hands on us... So, get your spare sets of underwear ready, ensure you have enough ambient lighting to stave off the scares, and get ready to place your Resident evil 8 pre-order.

First, the important thing: Resident Evil 8 will release on PS5, PS4 Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC on May 7, 2021. We know that Ethan will be back, and is heading to what is likely Romania to try and rescue his daughter from an impossibly tall vampire woman known as Lady Dimitrescu. It's a direct sequel to Resident Evil 7 and will address that game's ending, but it definitely looks like there will be some cool new features to check out, including a renewed focus on blocking attacks in order to survive, and an ability to kick enemies to clear up some space in front of you.

You'll be fighting werewolves, vampires, and more in this game, and if you're looking for a better understanding of what to expect, check out our Resident Evil 8 gameplay trailer breakdown for 20 details we spotted during the Resident Evil Village Showcase. You'll be more than ready to jump into the gothic village after checking out the gameplay trailer, which is why we've laid out all of the Resident Evil Village pre-order options to help guarantee you get the game on day one. We've also detailed the various special editions of Resident Evil 8 so if you're looking to spend a bit more we'll help you make an informed decision about which bundle to buy.

There are going to be four types of Resident Evil 8 pre-order to consider. The first three editions are the typical variations of the basic game packages: Standard, Collector's, and Deluxe. However, there's also a special edition that includes Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 8 in a nice little bundle - and considering how closely knit the two games are, this might be the one to grab if you haven't played Resident Evil 7 yet...

Anyway, let's get to it: here's the lowdown on a Resident Evil 8 pre-order, what you can get with each, and what each will cost.

Resident Evil 8 pre-order - Standard Edition

The most modest version of the game, but still one that will likely fly off the shelves faster than you can say Lady Dimitrescu. Pre-ordering the game will get you a free Mr. Raccoon Weapon Charm and a Survival Resources Pack that will come with the digital edition of Resident Evil 8, so definitely snag a pre-order if you're looking to get the game.
