A new trailer has arrived for cop comedy 21 Jump Street , and this time out Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum get to show off their action chops.
The new teaser contains a fair bit of the same material we saw in the first trailer, although the new footage is pleasingly heavy on gunfire, chase scenes and gratuitous, slow-motion dives for cover!
Okay, so it isn’t consistently laugh-out-loud funny, but there’s enough promise here to convince us this one will be worth a look, particularly if the slapstick element lives up to Jonah’s spectacular bonnet-slide fail.
There’s also a shiny new poster to accompany the trailer, with Hill and Tatum resplendent in a pair of white tuxes beneath the slightly ho-hum tagline: “The only thing getting blown tonight is their cover.” Let’s hope they’re saving the best jokes for the finished article.
21 Jump Street opens in the UK on 16 March 2012.
