Marvel and Netflix got a lot of people's attention with their Luke Cage panel at San Diego Comic Con last month, and that was punctuated with a brief but effective 90 second clip which had the bulletproof hero neutralising thugs with a car door. Today brings a much more substantial look at the highly anticipated series with a second trailer that gives us a glimpse at all the supporting characters to go along with a generous helping of bone-crunching action.
Check out the new footage (as well as a new poster) below...
The more I see of Luke Cage, the more excited I get. While the reluctant hero accepting his calling is a trope we've seen in many a superhero story before, the setting and the characters mean this series already stands out from the pack. Indeed, I'm very much looking forward to getting familiar with Luke Cage's world, so here's hoping that excitement proves to be warranted come September 30th.
Starring Mike Colter, Mahershala Ali, Alfre Woodard, Simone Missick, Theo Rossi, Rosario Dawson, Frank Whaley, and Sônia Braga, season 1 of Marvel's Luke Cage arrives in its entirety on Netflix September 30, 2016.
