Just Cause 3's Mech Land Assault DLC is out today for season pass owners, and there's really only one thing you need to know about it: Rico Rodriguez can pilot a SUPER FIGHTING ROBOT, and he can keep it.
The DLC campaign actually takes place on its own dedicated island called Lacrima, which was specifically built for wreaking havoc with gravity-gun toting mechs. But once you finish up there you'll still be able to pilot the two mech types back in Medici, and even start a mini 'Mech Lance with a Rebel pilot if you somehow manage to get outgunned.
If you don't own the season pass, you can pick up Mech Land Assault starting on June 10 for $11.99 / £9.49. The third and final part of the Just Cause 3 Season Pass, Bavarium Sea Heist, will be released by the end of the summer… though turbo-charged jet skis or whatever that pack ends up adding could have a difficult time following jetpacks and mechs. Just saying.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and was formerly a staff writer at GamesRadar+.
