Tomodachi Life Living the Dream Switch pre-orders are here, and UK fans get a picture-perfect free bonus
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream launches on April 16
Anyone who spent far too much of their time cultivating a bizarre digital habitat for the Miis on the 3DS are in for a treat as Tomodachi Life Living the Dream is launching on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on April 16.
Pre-orders are available for $59.99 (GameStop) / £49.99 (Nintendo), and those of you based in the UK can also secure your Magnetic Photo Frame free bonus. The acrylic photo frame can display 15x10cm photos of anything you want, including a printed screenshot of your beloved, newly created Mii, if that's what you fancy. With the reveal shortly after the 20-minute Tomodachi Life Living the Dream Nintendo Direct that there are restrictions on sharing game screenshots via social media, this little frame is a nice solution to showing off your favorite Living the Dream moments with your friends - even if they're relegated to the fridge.
Nintendo has kept pre-orders easy this time around. Tomodachi Life Living the Dream is a Nintendo Switch game, so there's no red-colored Switch 2 boxed copy or game-key card to consider. Any of you Switch 2 players just need to grab the Switch copy instead, and I've rounded up all the US and UK sites where you can find them down below.
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream US pre-orders
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream | $59.99 at GameStop
GameStop was the first of the US retailers to drop their Living the Dream pre-orders on the Switch, and you can grab it for its full $59.99 MSRP right now. Don't expect it on release day through as the page states it can take 2-3 business days to arrive at your door.
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream | $59.99 at BestBuy
BestBuy if your best bet in the US if you're eager for that physical Nintendo Switch copy and want to get the game on release day. Pre-orders dropped pretty fast at the US retailer shortly after the direct, and you can pre-purchase the game and arrange a pickup on the day just to be certain too.
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream | Check stock at Amazon
Amazon has been late to drop the last few major Switch game pre-orders, so it's not surprising that Tomodachi Life Living the Dream is nowhere to be found. When it does, you'll be able to take advantage of your speedy Prime shipping at least.
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream UK pre-orders
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream | £49.99 at Nintendo (with free gift)
If you're based in the UK, the official Nintendo online store is one of the best places to pre-order the latest Tomodachi Life as it has an exclusive Magnetic Photo Frame gift that's available while stock lasts - perfect for showing off your favorite Living the Dream moments.
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream | Check stock at Amazon
There's no sign of Tomodachi Life Living the Dream at Amazon UK right now. But you can grab a pre-owned copy of the original 3DS game if that's more your style. Hopefully, it won't take long for Living the Dream to make an appearance.
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream | Check stock at Very
Very is one of the more underrated UK retailers, but it can be a little late to the party where new Switch game pre-orders are concerned. Very has yet to drop its Tomodachi Life copies, but I'll update this page the moment they make an appearance.
Tomodachi Life Living the Dream | Check stock at Argos
Nintendo Switch copies of Tomodachi Life Living the Dream are nowhere to be found at Argos quite yet, but that could change. It sometimes takes a few days after a Nintendo Direct game reveal for copies to land at Argos and other UK retailers, but I'll let you know as soon as that changes.

Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more

Ever since I first held a NES controller in my hand I've been obsessed with gaming, and the hardware it runs on. I could hook up a NES and SNES to a telly, without instructions, before I could walk. Even now, nothing is more exciting then taking a console, or handheld, out the box for the first time and setting it up. This obsession transformed into a love of games and game music, which lead to my music degree and dream of becoming the Scottish Nobuo Uematsu. After sharing my love of games through music, I began to share my love through words on sites like TechRadar and iMore. This lead to becoming a Hardware staff writer for PCGamesN, and later the Senior Tech Writer for Dexerto, covering all things Steam Deck, PlayStation and Nintendo. With that experience, I was able to level up as Hardware Editor for GamesRadar+, where I'm still just as Nintendo, PlayStation and gaming tech obsessed as ever.
