The Arc Raiders Stella Montis live event is a new addition to this extraction shooter, allowing players to work together on Breaking New Ground through community challenges that will expand the Rust Belt and unlock a 5th map to explore. Up until this point Stella Montis has been marked as unavailable on the world map, but work is now underway to excavate tunnels and regain access to this research facility tucked away high in the mountains.
Much like the Arc Raiders Hidden Bunker that can be activated as a modifier for the Spaceport map, there is currently an element of mystery around Stella Montis and what future Phases of the live event to unlock it will entail. However, we can explain what's happening at the moment, so here's everything you need to know about Breaking New Ground, the Stella Montis live event.
How to complete Phase I of the Stella Montis live event
To complete Phase I of the Stella Montis live event, the community as a whole needs to gather a significant amount of basic crafting materials. If you select the Live Event in the top left corner of the main hub screen, you'll have the option to donate Metal Parts, Fabric, Plastic Parts, Rubber Parts, and Chemicals from your stash to the cause. You donate five of an item at a time, and each contribution you make awards 20 Merits that can be tracked at the bottom of the screen. You can earn up to 900 Merits this way, after which you can continue to donate more materials to speed up progress but won't receive any further reward for doing so. These Merits can be used to claim rewards in the next phase, but it hasn't been revealed what those bonuses will be yet.
Once the Phase I Community Progress reaches 100%, the Stella Montis live event will move on to the next stage.
What happens next in the Stella Montis live event?
As this is the first live event to take place, there's no precedent for how the rest of it will play out. We do know that there will be several Phases, which may expand into community challenges within the game rounds themselves, but ultimately when they're all done the access tunnels to Stella Montis will be completed and players will have a fresh map to explore. We'll update this guide as further Phases are reached.
