A Line in the Sand's clues are incredibly unhelpful in Arc Raiders, so here's what you need to do

The Arc Raiders Line in the Sand quest has you running around Buried City looking for a train robbery, thruster valves and basement to find out who was behind it all. In good Arc fashion it lists locations that are nowhere you need to be. While other pointers are so vague you stand just as much chance finding what you need by sticking a pin in map as actually looking. To help you avoid the pain of scouring the place I've got all the details and locations here, to help you clear this mission quickly.

Find out why the train never reached Marano Station in Arc Raiders

The first part of Line in the Sand sees you trying to find out why the train never reached Marano Station. The important thing here is to not go to Marano Station. There's nothing there that will help you. Instead, head to the location south west on the map where you'll find a derailed train:

Get to the right point on the train wreckage and you'll complete this objective and update it to a new one to find out who was responsible for the robbery.

Find out who orchestrated the robbery in Arc Raiders

Finding out who orchestrated the robbery begins Line in the Sands gentle drift away any coherent threading. The way to solve this quest is to check the small, partially buried tower at the location on the map above.

Climb up into the tower and you'll find a bush you can search to get a clue: a Marano Market Business Card that will direct you to the next objective.

Find out where the thruster valves were stashed in Arc Raiders

The Marano Market Business Card is directing you to the market ruins east of the hospital. This is one of the easier steps thanks to that clue, and once you reach the ruined buildings you should see the quest update.

The new objective, to search an apartment basement, isn't that obvious however. And, unhelpfully, it's nowhere obviously near where you currently are.

Where to search the basement of the merchant's apartment in Arc Raiders

Finding the basement of the merchant's apartment in Line in the Sand is probably the trickiest bit. You basically have to head to the location shown on the map above and look for this doorway:

Head in there and you'll find a zipline down to the basement and, as soon as you enter the larger room you'll see some boxes to your right. Approach them to get a prompt to take a picture and you'll have everything you need to turn the mission in. Now just extract and go see Celeste.

Once you've completed A Line in the Sand you can visit Celeste to hand in the mission and claim the following rewards:
