How to fast travel in Crimson Desert
Crimson Desert fast travel is unlocked with Abyss Nexus and Abyss Creset points, marked by Mysterious Energy
The Crimson Desert Fast travel system isn't unlocked immediately, and you'll need to put some work in to really get the best from it once it's possible. There are multiple fast travel points around the world, marked as Abyss Nexus or Abyss Creset, depending on how you unlock them, but they're not always easy to find. They're also always close to where you want them to be, depending on the circumstances. Below I'll explain how to fast travel in Crimson Desert, as well as how to find various new fast travel points on the map.
How the Crimson Desert fast travel system works
To fast travel in Crimson Desert, and move across the map Pywel, you need to do the following:
- Use the Blinding Flash ability to mark glints of blue light in the distance.
- Head to these blue glints. If you're close to a potential fast travel point, a white circle and question mark will appear on the map marked as a "Mysterious Power".
- From this point on, there are two possibilities: Either there'll be a stone platform you need to stand on until it glows blue (an Abyss Nexus, shown below), or a more complex, specific puzzle to be solved (an Abyss Creset).
- Standing on the Nexus or solving the puzzle to claim the Artifact within will unlock that location as a permanent fast travel point for the rest of the game.
- To fast travel, select that Nexus or Creset on the map and choose the "Teleport" option (Y/Triangle).
The more of these things you find and unlock, the more options you'll obviously have to jump around the map. Just remember that you can't fast travel while doing certain things – for example, in combat, or while sprinting, climbing, or falling. If you're not able to fast travel and try, you'll get a red marker that says "Cannot teleport in current state." You'll need to stop whatever's blocking the ability before you try again.
Want to teleport back to the Greymane camp? That one requires a puzzle to solve, but we'll explain it in our guide on how to fast travel to Howling Hill in Crimson Desert.
