Visiting a Pokopia Dream Island is a great way of getting some extra, unlimited resources for building and crafting, if you run out of materials on your home world,
You'll find that different islands are home to different resources, but be careful when heading out, as you can only visit one type of Dream Island per day. While you can go out multiple times a day, if you head out for iron ore on a Rock Peak Island, for example, you'll have to wait until tomorrow to go to an ocean island for seashells. Before you plan your next Dream Island trip, here's everything you need to know.
How to visit a Pokopia Dream Island
To visit a Dream Island in Pokopia, you first need to have Drifloon in your world. Then, you need to collect various Pokemon dolls.
Once they've moved in, Drifloon, the Balloon Pokemon, will be able to carry you off to a Dream Island whenever you want, as long as you have a Pokemon doll to show them, since the type of doll determines the island you visit.
Talk to Drifloon and ask them to take you an island, before showing them a doll in your inventory to see what you'll find there. Alternatively, you can place a doll on the ground outside and interact with it to bring Drifloon to you. This works if you can't find Drifloon or even if you're in another town, so makes vising Dream Island much easier.
You might want to place a doll inside your house or a Pokemon's house, but this won't allow you to call on Drifloon, so it's better to figure out a nice way to display them outdoors.
All Pokopia islands and resources
These are each of the different Pokopia Dream Islands and the main resources you'll find there:
Doll | Island | Resources |
|---|---|---|
Arcanine | Volcanic | Iron Ore, Gold Ore, Glowing Stone |
Clefairy | Rock Peak | Cave Mushrooms, Copper Ore, Limestone |
Dragonite | Sky Dream | Wastepaper, Pokemetal Fragments, Crystal Fragments |
Eevee | Wasteland | Leppa Berries, Vine Rope, Glowing Mushrooms |
Pikachu | Ocean | Twine, Sea Glass Fragments, Seashells |
Ditto | Random | Row 5 - Cell 2 |
Substitute | Random | Row 6 - Cell 2 |
Of course, you'll find all the usual resources on each island as well, including stone, sticks, trees, flowers, dirt, and more. You'll find Pokeballs and intel, too, as well as crops, building materials, and town-specific items, such as railway tracks and trashcans.

There's also a special resource you can find on every island: Stardust. This can be processed into Star Pieces, which can then be used to invite Pokemon back from other players' islands to your own, where they'll give you special gifts.
Finally, Dream Islands are also the only place to find items for completing Pokopia limited-time events. For example, cotton spores were the special item made available during the Pokopia Hoppip event, and could only be gathered on Dream Islands, then used back at home when trading for event-exclusive items.
How to find Pokopia Pokemon Dolls
Pokemon dolls can be found all over Pokopia, including from glowing rocks, Pokeballs, and glittering water. However, to ensure all players have access to every doll without the element of luck, they're also available to purchase from the Pokemon Center shop in Palette Town once you increase the environment level in Pokopia.
