The Pokopia Crush Specialty is one of the most versatile in the game, and is really important if you want to make the most out of island customization.
You'll also need a Pokemon with the Crush ability when you set out to rebuild the final area in Pokemon Pokopia, Sparkling Skylands, so it's worth familiarizing yourself with the Pokedex's Crush Pokemon as soon as possible.

What is the Crush specialty in Pokopia?
Unlike many of the Pokemon abilities in Pokopia, Crush is special as it actually has two great uses.
Firstly, Pokemon with the crush ability are able to turn natural materials into paint. For example, if you give a Leppa Berry to one of the Pokemon listed above, they'll turn it into red paint. Give them Chesto Berries, and they'll make blue and white paint.
The second use for the Crush ability isn't discovered until you reach the Sparkling Skylands, at which point you'll need to make concrete in Pokopia. To do so, you must allocate a Crush Pokemon to a concrete maker.
Your other Pokemon friends have their own interesting and useful specialties, including Litter, which allows them to gather materials at their home. Another important ability is the Pokopia Bulldoze specialty, which is essential for building homes for your new friends.

After studying Music and Lifestyle journalism and writing a column for a stylish lifestyle magazine in her hometown of Brighton, Danielle finally found her feet writing about videogames for WePC in 2021. She then honed her guides writing skills at PCGamesN between 2022 and 2026, when she took those skills to GamesRadar as a Guides Writer. Danielle's guides are a safe space - she definitely got stuck before you did, which is why she's perfect for the job. When she's not replaying the Silent Hill games or a more up-to-date single-player horror game, you'll find her fighting for her life in Dead by Daylight, tending to a garden in Stardew Valley, or doing both in Minecraft.
