The Seahawks entered the season expecting a rebuild. New England's rise was just as surprising. With Mike Vrabel in his first year as head coach and Drake Maye in his first full season as the starter, the Patriots faced early doubts after a Week 1 loss to the Raiders. They responded by reclaiming the AFC East and finishing with 14 wins.

Maye quickly established himself as one of the NFL's best quarterbacks, ranking first in EPA+CPOE composite and leading the league’s most efficient passing attack. The Patriots also fielded a strong defense, finishing top five in scoring defense and top six against the run.
