The rumors are true: The Batman 2 is set in winter as Matt Reeves delivers perfect first look
It's big coat weather in Gotham
The rumors were true: The Batman 2 is set in winter as director Matt Reeves delivers a first look at a snow-covered Gotham.
Taking to Twitter to post a frame from one of the opening days of production, Reeves revealed a screen test of a car driving through a snowstorm, complete with the hashtag #SnowTires. See it for yourself below.

In a flurry of responses, Reeves also hinted that we would see a bloodied Batman in the wintry setting, as well as a shot from the driver's seat with a fire seemingly raging in the distance.
The wintry setting won't silence the whispers that Mr. Freeze could be part of The Batman's rogues' gallery this time around. Of course, Batman has had plenty of sub-zero scrapes without the villain involved, most notably in The Long Halloween, which saw the DC hero on the trail of a serial killer who struck around various holidays.
Speaking previously on The Batman 2, Robert Pattinson – who returns as Bruce Wayne/Batman – lauded the script and teased how, much like the first movie, this is going to be a different take on the Caped Crusader.
"I mean, the script is so good.... I think it's kind of crazy. The first one was like a little bit of a different type of Batman movie, and this is like really a different type of Batman movie," Pattinson told Filme Gitmeden Önce. "I think hopefully people will be really pleasantly surprised by it. Yeah, I'm really excited."
From one winter to another, The Winter Soldier actor Sebastian Stan has been confirmed as part of The Batman 2 cast, with Scarlett Johansson reportedly in line to be part of the sequel, joining her fellow MCU alumni in the jump to DC. Someone who won't be joining the fray in Gotham, though, is The Penguin star Cristin Milioti.
