The Ghost in the Shell episode 1 release date: what time is it on Prime Video?
The Ghost in the Shell's first episode releases on July 7 on Prime Video. We believe it will be in line with Amazon's other anime releases at around 9:00 AM Pacific/Noon Pacific/5:00 PM BST but, as of writing, that's not been confirmed.
Those lucky enough to be at the show's Anime Expo panel on July 5 can also watch the premiere early.
The Ghost in the Shell release schedule: are new episodes released weekly?
New episodes of The Ghost in the Shell will be released weekly instead of a batch release. That means we'll be getting more cyberpunk adventures right across the summer on Prime Video.

The Ghost in the Shell episode count and is it a sequel or remake?
Not quite a remake and definitely not a sequel to the 1990s movie, The Ghost in the Shell is actually an adaptation that stays a little truer to the manga, complete with more fleshed-out story arcs and bringing in material left on the cutting room floor elsewhere.
The episode count is currently unknown, though we expect it to run between 12 and 13 episodes.
