Batman v Superman's Henry Cavill pulls a Clark Kent, goes unnoticed in Times Square

One of the biggest criticisms of Superman, aside from the massive collateral damage he inflicted in Man of Steel, is that his secret identity just wouldn't work. Counterpoint: Henry Cavill doesn't even need nerdy Clark Kent specs to go unnoticed in bustling Times Square, as the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star proved in this humorous Instagram video. He's even wearing a Superman T-shirt!

Dear Doubter, The glasses are good enough. Regards, Superman #WhoWillWin #Superman

I mean, Superman is a space alien who was raised unnoticed in human society and develops superpowers from exposure to the Earth's yellow sun. I'm not sure why people can't accept that he could also use a pair of glasses to hide his secret identity. Maybe Bruce Wayne will have some choice words about suspension of disbelief in Batman v Superman's R-rated cut.

Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, and Jesse Eisenberg, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will open in US and UK theaters on March 25, 2016.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
