Guardians Of The Galaxy has released a trio of new images on the eve of the first official trailer, giving us a good look at the weird and wonderful characters that make up Marvel’s latest super-team.
There’s a great ensemble image, featuring Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista and Chris Pratt alongside colourful buddies Groot and Rocket Racoon, as well as a profile shot of Pratt’s Star-Lord and a first look at The Milano, their spacecraft.
Meanwhile, Pratt has been discussing his character, and confirms that he remains something of a man-child...
“Being stuck in space with no accountability makes for a strange combination of youthful vibrancy and cluelessness in a childlike man,” explains Pratt to USA Today .
“He does some things that most people wouldn’t get away with. But part of his arc is being willing to essentially sacrifice himself for the greater good of other people.”
Directed by James Gunn and co-starring Benicio Del Toro, Glenn Close and Michael Rooker, Guardians Of The Galaxy will open in the UK on 1 August 2014.
