We've been longing for some Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order DLC ever since Cal Kestis' journey came to an end. While we've now got some additional challenges and cosmetics - more on that below - we're still awaiting official word on any story expansions to Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order (opens in new tab). We've taken a look at any rumours circulating however, along with what Respawn has previously said about the idea of DLC, and combined all of our knowledge into this Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order DLC guide.

Announced on Star Wars Day 2020 (May 4), Fallen Order will be getting its first piece of DLC soon. While it's not a story expansion, players will finally have a reason to revisit Fallen Order with brand new combat challenges to take on and cosmetics to unlock. You can re-play the story with your unlocked cosmetics, including a sweet Inquisitor Cal outfit, and even create your own challenges for other players to tackle. What's even more impressive is that this is a completely free update for all players.
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order DLC plans
At the time of writing, Respawn has been very tight-lipped about any Fallen Order DLC. Long before the game launched back in April 2019, the community manager at the time said that Respawn (opens in new tab) had "no plans for DLC" and that the priority is to release a "strong, self-contained story".
Since then, that hasn't changed. Now the game has launched to such critical acclaim however, plenty of players have been clamouring for some Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order DLC. It's important to note that "no plans" isn't a definite no, so the success of the title could lead to DLC in the future.
It's worth noting however that in an interview with GamesRadar, Respawn's brand strategy director Charlie Houser said that they would "love to keep telling that story in Star Wars" (opens in new tab). Whether that's going to be in the form of story DLC or a fully fledged sequel on PS5 (opens in new tab) and Xbox Series X (opens in new tab), only time will tell.
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order new game plus
While story DLC is nowhere in sight, the team at Respawn is regularly updating the game, with patches hitting fairly frequently. Could we see a Fallen Order NG+ mode introduced through a free update? It's possible, especially since the latest update added the aforementioned challenges and cosmetics so players desperate for more Fallen Order content can jump back in.
Again though, there's no official word from Respawn on New Game Plus. Players want a NG+ mode so badly, there's a fan-made mod available on Nexus Mods (opens in new tab) for PC that essentially enables NG+, although you still need to obtain all the abilities yourself. It's not a perfect solution, especially since it doesn't help for console players, but it's a workaround for now.
If any news about Fallen Order DLC does surface, worry not because we'll update this in no time at all. For now however, why not read up on everything we know about The Mandalorian season 2 (opens in new tab) for your Star Wars fix?
