Rome: Total War Cheats

  • PC | Submitted by dart96

    Create Unit - Unit ID

Press ~ to open cheat prompt, then enter the cheat.

    The cheat code is:
create_unit (settlement/character name) (unit id) (opt: how many) (opt:exp/weapon/armor)

To find the unit id, you have to find the file location they are in. The file location I found them in was:
    C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\data
and then the file name was export_descr_unit_enums.
Example code for putting five units of roman urban cohort with 9 exp, 3 weapon/armor into Rome:
    create_unit Rome "roman legionary cohort urban i" 5 9 3 3

    Higher Chance of Success

If you're being attacked with a small force, when you're setting up your units make them go as far as possible and the enemy will get tired, thus giving your units a higher chance of victory.

  • PC | Submitted by GamesRadar

    Easy Senate loss

Don't worry if you see the supposedly huge senate army around Rome. Their army consists of obsolete units like hestatai and princepes, and can easily be crushed with legionary cohorts and legionary cavalry, onagars, ect. But beware, as soon as you do away with the senate, the other loyal Roman factions declare war on you!
