Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark of the Moon gets a poster

The first official promo poster for Transformers 3 (or Transformers: Dark of the Moon , if we absolutely must call it that) has arrived.

JoBlo have the one sheet, and it's a little bit underwhelming to be honest.

Good points? Optimus Prime is looking pretty epic, with the scale impressing: it's easy to forget quite how bloody massive he is! It's also a good move to leave out the godawful subtitle for a streamlimed TF3 .

Negative? It doesn't look much different to any other promo shot of Prime you might have seen over the last few years to be honest. There's also some unidentified glowing going on, and no hint to what the dark of the moon could actually be.

Michael Bay has added a load of new characters to the threequel: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley replaces Megan Fox as Shia LaBeouf's love interest, and John Malkovich, Frances McDormand and Patrick Dempsey are among the franchise newbies.

The first official trailer is due to hit any time now, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon is arriving in 3D in June 2011.
