Emma Watson on her future projects: video interview

The Perks Of Being A Wallflower opens in the UK today, and marks Emma Watson’s first major role since wrapping up work on the Harry Potter franchise .

After a miniscule role in My Week With Marilyn , Watson is back in a big way with Perks , in which she adopts a spot-on American accent to play a senior who bonds with Logan Lerman’s dazed and confused freshman in the ‘80s-set teen flick.

Stephen Chbosky writes and directs, adapting from his own novel (which was inspired in part by his own experiences).

And that’s not the only project on her horizon. Also on the agenda are Sofia Coppola’s fame-game scrutiny The Bling Ring , Darren Aronofsky’s Biblical epic Noah , and Guillermo del Toro’s unique take on fairytale classic Beauty And The Beast .

All those projects are discussed by the former Hermione Granger in our interview below, so get watching now! Doesn’t look like she’ll have much trouble stepping out of the shadow of Hogwarts…
