A wistful doc tracking the rise and resilience of Manchester United’s unprecedented batch of kids-turned champions: Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, and the Neville brothers.

The magic here is getting all six together, as they bring out a normality in each other that no interviewer could ever hope to achieve – old friends sharing anecdotes, with a chemistry that gives their remembered glories a fresh energy.

As youthful breakthroughs segue into a retelling of the ’99 treble season, there’s a dab of social commentary (the boys’ own rise mirroring the optimism that came with New Labour’s general election victory), but this is a celebration rather than an analysis, and a good one at that.
