Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje cast in Suicide Squad as Batman villain Killer Croc

Suicide Squad has added a new recruit to its ever-growing ensemble, with Thor: The Dark World star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje set to swap teams and join the DC Universe. Who will he be playing? None other than Batman baddie, Killer Croc.

For those of you unfamiliar with the character, Croc is a musclebound monster with scaly reptilian skin that makes him particularly durable in hand to hand combat. Needless to say, he’s a little more route one than the Joker…

It remains to be seen how big a role Croc will be afforded, although we wouldn’t be surprised if his was a fleeting appearance, perhaps in the context of some of the Joker’s prison scenes. Hopefully he’ll get some limbs to snap while he’s around, though…

The Wrap also adds that Karen Fukuhara and Scott Eastwood have also been added to the cast, with filming set to get underway in the next couple of weeks. Directed by David Ayer and co-starring Will Smith, Jared Leto and Margot Robbie, Suicide Squad will open in the UK and US on 5 August 2016.
