Street Fighter edition of Monopoly revealed

In the relatively recent past we've gotten iterations of Monopoly based on World of Warcraft and Nintendo and now Monopoly's influence is being stretched ever further into the gaming industry as a Street Fighter edition has been announced.

You can take a look at the entire game board here which has properties jointly based on characters and the stages they inspire. The pieces - which are really 3/4 of the point of playing Monopoly - will be Chun Li's bracelet, Vega' mask, a hadouken fireball, Bison, Ryu, and Zangief's shorts. We were kind of hoping for Zangief's thigh hair, but whatever.

This iteration of the old-as-dirt board game will cost $39.99. No word on whether or not this version of Monopoly will fix the painfully boring process of playing Monopoly.

With it being SF2 it's a pity they don't have it where if two players land on the same square you have to 'fight' and the loser has to surrender a property.

Nothing ruins a good Thanksgiving weekend like the annual family monopoly game, complete with collusion, liberal interpretations of the rules, and rage quits. Also this looks pretty cool.

The most addictive board game ever + the most addictive video game ever = the most addictive product ever produced. I guess the government is going to have to regulate it and make commercials about trying to quit playing Street Fighter Monopoly Edition. Or is that Monopoly Street Fighter Edition?

They missed the opportunity to use the "Beat the shit out of this car" bonus stage as the Free Parking spot. I still have an unopened Nintendo Monopoly set. The urge to open it and play with the pieces was pretty intense for the first couple of weeks.

If this has the Streetfighter 2 "beat up fighter lost" screen used as a "Go to Jail"-card or spot this will be a day 1 buy.
