New BioShock Infinite screens the creepiest yet

BioShock Infinite's reveal trailer and 10-minute gameplay video contained some of the strangest and most unsettling things we've ever witnessed in the franchise, but until now, the screenshots have been relatively tame. Big balloon ships? Patriotic, flag-draped statues? Sad old men sitting on park benches? Intriguing, yes. Scary, no.

This, however, is a bit more like it...

Blood-soaked beak. Guts dripping and flapping in the breeze. Demonic red eyes. This bird terrifies us, and we're incredibly grateful he'll be on our side in the game. Scroll down for three more brand new shots, then head to our image gallery for much, much larger versions.

BioShock Infinite is scheduled for release sometime in 2012.

"scheduled for release sometime in 2012." is it to much to hope for early in 2012?

It's funny, but I just finished reading The Raven in english class, which is basically the exact thing that the bird in the screenshot is. Especially the glowing red eyes. Thank you Edgar Allen Poe.

that liquid on the bird's beak might also be adam, rather than just blood

One of the things Im extremly happy with this game is the fact the main charcter actually fucking talks. I have played too many games where your character contributes absoulutley fucking nothing to the storyline. Im sick and tired of developers trying to be cheap with voiceless heroes. Is it too much to ask for my character to at least say something?

I have no idea why people are tired of Rapture, or why they hated Bioshock 2, I don't know what nerd started that with Bioshock 1 being better, but get it thought your heads, Bioshock 2 was GOOD PEOPLE! I don't get why people say Bioshock 2 sucked when this is the complete opposite of Bioshock, proclaiming this going to be better, this is Avatar all over again, they get it in your heads that it is good, before you even see it. So actually play Bioshock 2, and try to play it without thinking "This sucks, this sucks, this sucks." Just try it, you might like it. And also didn't the trailer seem more cinematic than game play oriented.

Does no one else think the 10 minute gameplay trailer displayed a distinct lack of mood and general atmosphere that the previous games displayed. Also, why was the main character talking? And a love interest? these things worry me.......

God this game looks awesome. Im glad they moved Bioshock out of the water and into the air. Its totally original (besides new Zelda) and should definetly provide serious entertainment. And for the crows, best. power. ever. The film The Birds lives on!!!

Screenshots are all well and good, but trailers are 1000x better.
