The next Fortnite live event is almost here, as the in-game countdown works its way backwards to zero for the start of the OG Ice Storm. If you're a long time player of the battle royale then you may remember the original Ice Storm event from 2019, where the Ice King burst out of his frozen sphere to blast the island with snow, and it's looking like something similar is about to happen again. To find out when you can see this go down, here's everything you need to know about the next Fortnite live event.
What time is the Fortnite live event
We already knew that the next Fortnite live event is taking place on Sunday, February 15, 2026, after eagle-eyed players spotted it listed on the Love and Legends promotional image for the month. However, thanks to a recent announcement we now know it has a confirmed start time of 11am PST / 2pm EST / 7pm GMT, but you should aim to be logged in at least 40 minutes ahead of that to make sure you get access to the lobby before it begins.
What will happen during the Fortnite live event?
Epic have been keeping the contents of this Fortnite live event under wraps, though it's likely to follow a similar process to the original Ice Storm event that took place back in 2019. In that, an icy sphere hovering over Polar Peak exploded to reveal the Ice King, who then used his magic to cover the map in snow. Right now in Fortnite OG there's a familiar frozen sphere floating above a melting Polar Peak, and Weather Warnings have started being broadcast on TVs across the island to spread the word about the impending storm.
You can expect the Ice King to emerge during the Ice Storm on February 15, but for everything else you'll have to log in and see the live event for yourself.
