Article continues below- New Riven Tides map
- New map condition: Beachcombing
- New large Arc enemy: ARC Turbine
- New Limited Time Event: Last Resort
- New Project: Avian Alarm
- New Expedition Window
The full Riven Tides reveal has actually given us way more than was originally teased, with a new project and Limited Time event joining the line up. On top of the new map and arc, its a much chunkier update than we were previously expecting. Let's take a look at it all in more detail below.
ARC Turbine
The new large arc has been revealed to be a giant cone, ominously hanging in the air. It is apparently "equipped with defensive measures to deter Raiders from approaching", with mention that "Raiders will need to track and hunt the ARC Turbine in order to fight it and recover its loot". It's also shown in the reveal trailer descending at speed spouting fire from numerous ports. Looks like fun...
Riven Tides map
We now know the new New Riven Tides map in Arc Raiders is Rust Belt coastline area. It's described as where the "Panorama Azzurro Resort meets the hard lines of a disused dockyard, where old Exodus structures still stand."
We pretty much already new as the location was one of the most teased part of the expansion more or less confirming these key POIs:
Weekly digests, tales from the communities you love, and more
- Exodus Hotel, Panorama Azzurro
- Pool
- Beachfront / Bar
- Customs House
- Stacking yard (dockyard)
- Harbour
- Sea Wall
There's also talk of things like a rooftop bar in the hotel, which along with the images we have of the Customs House and Stacking Yard full of "towering cranes [and] piles of shipping containers", ties into the talk of verticality that will presumably help when dealing with an airborne boss Arc.
Beachcombing map condition
The new Riven Tides map condition is called Beachcombing and allows raiders to use the 'Dockmaster’s Detector', unlocked as part of the new project, to detect and uncover loot hidden under the sand along the coast. A previus scout report mentioned that "the tides seem to have swallowed parts of the dockyard and spat it back out again onto the sand. Dead ships lie wrecked and half buried while stacks of containers are toppled and strewn along the strip." So clearly this condition will let you access an extra layer or loot.
Last Resort Limited Time Event
This new event runs from April 28 to May 25. Players will be able to earn Merits by earning XP, as well as by finding miniature ship models in various maps. Those Merits can then be redeemed to unlock rewards, including Raider Tokens, the new Junior Outfit, the Hydrologist backpack and more besides.
Avian Project
There's a new project for Riven Tides, the Avian Alarm. It's a 5 Tier tasking you with building bird cages to create a security system that will "sense tremors and atmospheric changes". Rewards include: 250 Raider Tokens, Dockmaster’s Detector (used in Beachcombing Map Condition), Bird House backpack attachment and more.
- 250 Raider Tokens,
- Dockmaster’s Detector (used in Beachcombing Map Condition)
- Bird House backpack attachment and more.
