Writer / artist / director Miranda July's new film The Future is out today.
It's a quirk-filled exploration of the consequences of commitment, featuring a couple who decide to disconnect the internet (in part due to an obsession with YouTube) and adopt a cat, only to discover that those simple actions change both of their lives significantly.
Oh, and the cat is the main narrator. We told you it was quirk-filled.
To celebrate the release of The Future , we decided to sit down with July to watch a bunch of YouTube cat videos - including keyboard cat, Nyan cat and many more - to find out what she thinks of them.
