Since the beginning the Legend of Zelda series has been closely connected to a certain metal. Whether it’s the gold-ish plating on the original NES game, the limited gold Ocarina game pak, and the gold coloring on the Wind Waker disc, Zelda is often seen with what the scientific table calls Au. Now you can add another one to the history books, as Nintendo today revealed the limited edition bundle for the upcoming Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which includes, among other things, a gold Wii Remote.
As big a seller as Wii Sports Resort was, is quite possible you don’t own any Wii Motion Plus controllers in your home, a prerequisite for the first Wii-original Zelda, making the bundle (which retails for $69.99) pretty useful. With a fancy outside, including the classic Zelda crest, looks nice enough that we almost want to play other Wii Motion Plus games. Almost.
Whether you buy Skyward Sword with or without the new Remote, purchase it early enough and you’ll get a special soundtrack. Created for Zelda’s 25th Anniversary, the CD contains orchestral versions of classic music from the franchise. The game comes out November 20, and along with this news Nintendo confirmed that Professor Layton and the Last Specter for DS is out October 17, and that Hudson and Nintendo are co-publishing a new version of Tetris in early October for 3DS. That should keep you Nintendo fans satiated for at least another day, right?
