Rise of the Tomb Raider writer Rhianna Pratchett involved "from the beginning"

One of the differences between 2013’s grimy Tomb Raider reboot and this holiday’s Rise of the Tomb Raider won't be obvious until you’ve seen the whole story. The primary writer behind protagonist Lara Croft, Rhianna Pratchett, was involved early in the project this time - and that doesn’t happen as often as you might imagine.

“One thing that was nice is we had Rhianna Pratchett from the beginning,” says Noah Hughes, creative director at Tomb Raider’s longtime custodian, Crystal Dynamics. “It’s always great to have a writer as early as possible.”
