Quantic Dream registers singularityps4.com

Quantic Dream may already have a bun in the oven for PlayStation 4, according to some detective work by Kotaku. A domain name registration for singularityps4.com by the Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls developer hints at what may be next for the studio.

Kotaku notes that the naming structure follows a similar formula for Quantic Dream's previous games, which have web presences at heavyrainps3.com and beyondps3.com. It's a good bet that whatever Singularity is, its name will change at least in the form of a subtitle, given that a game of the same name came out in 2010.

The domain name also indicates that Sony will stick with the presumed moniker for its next-generation console--PlayStation 4. Surprise!

Singularity: Subtitle Goes Here may deal with transhumanist issues, given that Quantic Dream founder David Cage cited Ray Kurzweil's book "The Singularity is Near" as an influence on its Kara tech demo last year.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
