Oscar 2017 nominations: Arrival scores loads, but there's no love for Deadpool

The 2017 Oscar nominations have been released and the Ryan Gosling-Emma Stone musical La La Land is already the big winner with 14 nominations, but this year also sees sci-fi get some recognition with Arrival gaining 8 noms.

There's nothing for Deadpool, despite Ryan Reynolds valiant efforts, while both Doctor Strange and Star Wars: Rogue One have a visual effects nomination, with Rogue One also getting a mention for sound mixing. 

Other interesting news? Suicide Squad has an Oscar nomination! Yes, really.
